In reply to your letter No. 1292 of the 12th instant, enclosing a Memorandum by the Commanding Royal Engineer, relative to a site for Howitzer emplacements and an Infantry Redoubt on Swyn Hill;
I have the honor, by direction of His Excellency the Acting Governor, to acquaint you, for the information of His Excellency the General Officer Commanding, that the Government consents to what is proposed on behalf of the War Department, namely, that the ground tinted yellow in the plan A, should be treated as a Military Reserve.
I am to return Colonel Storer's Memorandum and accompanying plans and to request that copies of these two plans may be furnished, for record in the Public Works Department.
